Services

I am a therapist who has been practicing in Roseville and the greater Sacramento area since 2014. Before becoming a licensed marriage and family therapist in 2014 I did lots of other work in the mental health field. You can read more about my history / experience here on my about me page.

As a therapist I work with clients on a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, and grief/loss, but I specialize in and have particular interest in:

Addiction Counseling
Codependency counseling
Couples therapy
Teen counseling
LGBT counseling
Polyamory & sex positive therapy

Fees

I charge $180 per 50 minute session.

When necessary or beneficial, I occasionally sometimes see clients in sessions that are longer than the standard 50 minutes. If this is the case for you, we will discuss fees before starting these extended sessions.

I am not currently contracted with any insurance providers. However, I can provide billing statements with the information necessary for you to claim out of network reimbursement with your insurance provider.

-Sacramento Office-

***Now Closed***

I had a beautiful office in Sacramento in the top floor of a victorian building, but it burnt down in 2017.
In 2018 I moved to a new location in Sacramento, but I let it go in the early days of the pandemic.
I currently do not have an office in Sacramento, but continue to be available in Roseville and via telehealth ( phone or Zoom).

The “No Surprises Act” of 2022

In 2022 the “No Surprises Act” went into effect. Its unclear and confusing how this will affect therapists in private practice but as it currently stands, I am required to post the following notice here for your information.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
